Sand Surfing

Hello,
We went sandsurfing yesterday. It was great. I don't have pictures of sandsurfing, but I do have more pictures from Socorro, so here they are. The dish on the left is the one we climbed into. They are currently working on this dish, converting it to the Enhanced Very Large Array. It was very white on the inside, and extremely hot on the desert plains of NM. And there was a giant gear for the altitude-azimuth drive. Pictures of sand surfing will come soon.

LOGarithm

Surprise!
I have decided to make a log, inspired by the success of the infamous Dr. S. His blog is available here:
gelasticboffin.blogspot.com
The alternate reason for making this log is that I have taken many photos during this summer and thought it would be appropriate to share some of the best images here, concomitant with silly captions and descriptions of events. Pictured above are some aliens we found in New Mexico on Monday, July 10 around 6:00 pm Mountain Time. Also pictured are: a pretty flower and another alien juicing from its sweet flowery nectar; one of the 27 radio antennae at the Very Large Array, near Soccorro NM.
